Laura Bayne
I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. My ex-husband and I owned a general contractor/electrical company close to 25 years, plus a few small company’s in between those years. I found it difficult and lost myself along the way of juggling work, kids, kid sports and a hobby
farm. Then I found myself in a mental and physically abusive relationship. I found myself fearing for my life and too scared to leave.
December 25, 2018 all of my personal belongings were set on fire by my ex-husband. I had only the clothes I was wearing, at that moment I became no longer afraid to leave. I have not looked back not once since that day. Fast forward to now, I have a good job and Maria and I
have partnered together to create Breaking Free Retreat. I had become engulfed by my past life and lost who I was and have worked hard healing and reconnecting with myself. Now it is time for Maria and I to make a difference in your life
Maria Marzano-Thielen
I was born in Chicago; Illinois and I began my first job the summer before my senior year of high school at the age of 16 for a fortune 500 company. 33 years later I still work there. After high school while working full-time I attended and then graduated college, then I met my husband, and we had two children who are now both in college themselves. I devoted all my time to my career, husband, and children because I love them more than anything, but I left no time for myself which impacted both my mental and physical health. I attended my first retreat in September of 2021 and my second in January of 2022 and it completely changed my life and broke me free of the limitations I put on myself. I met the most amazing people and today I am 30 lbs. lighter, I am off my prescription medication, and I am living my best life. Together Laura and I want to be a part of your breaking free journey.
